I Live in Alne, and am married with two children. I am a full-time Art Teacher
at a successful secondary school in York, teaching 11-18year olds. I Studied at
both St John's and Goldsmith's, specialising in painting. My paintings are generally representational, and are largely a response to the land, light and skies around my Yorkshire home. I love being outside, and am constantly on the look-out for subject matter. I mainly paint landscapes, or portraits of the land, in which I try to capture something of the experience of being out in the light. I work both outdoors and in my studio, from sketches and photos.
